Stay Cool This Summer — Don't Wait for a Breakdown

BC summers can get surprisingly hot, and a malfunctioning A/C isn't just uncomfortable — it can be a safety issue. At Blue Mountain AutoPro in Port Coquitlam, our technicians diagnose and repair the full A/C system: compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, cabin filter, and refrigerant charge.

We service both R-134a (pre-2015 vehicles) and R-1234yf (most 2015+ vehicles), and we carry both refrigerant types in stock so there's no delay.

"Suspension work done right the first time. I've been to three other shops in the Tri-Cities over the years and this is the only one I've felt 100% confident in. The NAPA warranty is a bonus."

Common Questions About A/C Service

How often should I service my car's A/C?
Most manufacturers recommend an A/C inspection every 2 years. Refrigerant naturally depletes over time — even without a leak — and regular checks catch issues before they cause a full system failure or expensive compressor replacement.
Why is my car A/C blowing warm air?
The most common causes are low refrigerant (usually from a slow leak), a failing compressor clutch, a blocked condenser, or an electrical issue in the control system. We diagnose the root cause before recommending repairs — we don't just recharge and send you on your way.
What does an A/C recharge involve?
We evacuate the existing refrigerant, test for leaks (using a vacuum test and UV dye), recharge the system to the manufacturer's specification with the correct refrigerant type, and test cooling performance before and after. The process typically takes 60–90 minutes.
What is R-134a vs. R-1234yf refrigerant?
R-134a is the traditional refrigerant used in most vehicles built before 2015. R-1234yf is the newer, lower-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerant used in most 2015+ vehicles. We stock both and will use the type specified for your vehicle.
Does Blue Mountain AutoPro service A/C on all makes and models?
