What does an A/C recharge involve?
We evacuate the existing refrigerant, test for leaks (using a vacuum test and UV dye), recharge the system to the manufacturer's specification with the correct refrigerant type, and test cooling performance before and after. The process typically takes 60–90 minutes.
What is R-134a vs. R-1234yf refrigerant?
R-134a is the traditional refrigerant used in most vehicles built before 2015. R-1234yf is the newer, lower-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerant used in most 2015+ vehicles. We stock both and will use the type specified for your vehicle.
